Vale of Rheidol railway
Opened in 1902, the Vale of Rheidol railway offers an unforgetable journey through the spectacular Rheidol Valley by narrow guage steam train. Runs from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge.

Ceredigion Coast Path
The coast path links towns and villages dotted along the beautiful Cardigan Bay coastline. Wild flowers, seabirds and a wealth of wildlife await the walker. Join at New Quay or Aberaron.

Lampeter
Lampeter is a pretty and historic market town in the heart of the Teifi Valley. Home to the smallest university in Wales and its oldest rugby club. Good pubs and restaurants and regular farmers markets.

Devils Bridge
A
pretty village about 12 miles from Aberystwyth which is famous for its waterfalls and three bridges on top of one another. Good area for walking and terminius for the Rheidol Steam Railway.

Aberystwyth
Principal holiday resort and administration centre for the west coast of Wales. Home to the 7000 student University of Wales, The National Libary of Wales and Museumof Childhood. An intersting harbour and promenade bordered on one side with rows of Victoria/Edwardian buildings and the beach on the other. Approximately 35 minutes drive or good bus service.

Snowdonia National Park
About an hours drive and you will be into one of Britains most beautiful and diverse National Parks. Stunning scenery stretching from the Dovey Estuary (visit Aberdovey and its amazing beach!) in the South, following the coastline to Harlech and Edward 1's formidable castle through to Snowdon itself and its renowned mountain railway and onto Conwy and the North of Wales coast the Italianate village of Portmerion, home of "the prisoner".

Dylan Thomas
This part of Wales is steeped in Dylan Thomas history. New Quay itself formed an important part of his life, particularly when he lived at nearby "Imajoda". He frequented the Black Lion pub which was run by his friend "JackPat" and memorabilia can be found in Dylans Restaurant. Part of the film "The Edge of Love" starring Sienna Miller and Keira Knightly and featuring Dylan Thomas's Life was made in New Quay.

Cardigan Town
A short drive away, this attractive town has much to offer. On the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the mouth of the pretty River Teifi, ranked as one of the best trout rivers in Europe. Interesting shopping and wide choice of hosteleries and restaurants.
